As I was making my way to Woods Creek Weddings, I got a strong feeling of nostalgia. The scenery reminded me so much of the national forest that I used to live in. The large green trees, the roads there, the feeling of tranquility. The view of the venue opened up as I was driving right up to it. As I got out of my car, it was hard not to notice the house. It towered above me and stood in the most majestic way.
Jamie met me out front. I felt immediately relaxed around her, with her calm and warm presence. She took me around, showing me the barn. Before we walked in, I could see the lights hanging up, and they screamed magic at me. Strings of lights hung up across the middle, I could already feel how romantic someone’s first dance would feel here. Newly weds holding each other close, listening to their song, under lights that feel like starlight.
Past the barn was a field that went down to a line of trees. Jamie mentioned how kids love to roll down the field. She also had the cutest cornhole set out, which is customized to say “Happily Ever After”. She also told me how people even brought bouncy houses for their wedding days, adding a kid friendly aspect.
The placing of the arbor is perfect. Off in the distance, a gorgeous view of the mountains peaked behind trees. I got extremely excited about the kind of scenic photographs I could get of a couple up here while couples exchanged their vows.
Jamie then told me how the bottom two floors of the house are for getting ready as we went inside. The grooms use the bottom floor, where they have a big couch and a nice-sized table that’s usually full of beer cans. The bathroom was really nice as well. It was clear to see a lot of thought went into the decor of it all.
Going upstairs, there was even more to be excited about. There was a sunroom where I could imagine some really great pictures of the couple in here, with the gorgeous view behind them in the background.
The bride’s getting ready area featured two cute mirrors with Hollywood lights on them. I could already picture a bride sitting at the table, getting her makeup done and feeling extremely glamorous. To the left of that was a gorgeous set of doors that had a beautiful design in the glass. I could just imagine bridesmaids gathered here toasting to each other in celebration. There, of course, was a full body mirror as well.
Jamie then showed me the deck, which wrapped around the entire house! It was definitely a sight to behold. Towards the front of the house had freshly clipped plants, and stairs leading to the yard. Here I could picture an epic photograph involving the couple and the entire house.
Woods Creek Weddings is definitely a unique and intimate place to have a wedding. Jamie told me that she actually had her wedding here. She loved it so much, and that all her friends told her that she should make it a venue because of how gorgeous it was, so she did! So not only does Jamie own the venue, but she has the personal experience to guide a couple through their wedding day here.
